What the FLUX?!?! with Enterprise First Friday

    What the FLUX_ EFF_

The Enterprise Party is bringing you more fun for your First Friday.

This month, they bring you the “What the FLUX?!” party, a collaborative effort between The Enterprise Party and FLUX Magazine.  This event will feature the possible design covers for FLUX’s debut issue in 2010.

VOTE for your favorite cover art by: Eukarezt, Sonny Ganaden, Haj Gollestani, Landon Osamu, and atypicalLIVING’s own Miss Yumi Vong.

This event is split into two parts with an acoustic showcase featuring Yoza, Sebastian Hughes, also with Gary Liu Jr and The Drowning Dreamers.

At 9pm, the dancing gets going, featuring the sounds of Underwater Radar.

This all goes down this First Friday at the Loft (115 Hotel Street).

For more info, check out the enterprise party.

Honolulu Art Collective – First Friday at the Loft

The HAC is back for another round of First Friday debauchery at the Loft.  This month, they’re featuring works from HAC mainstays Aaron Lee (who, I’m hoping, is going to have more of those dope paper Cryptonauts there), Aaron VB, Runjunko Pugh and Hanasaurus will be on display, along with some new stuff from a ton of artists that you may or may not have heard of, but their work is dope nontheless.

After the HAC display, Swampa ZZ and DJ Eskae will rock the party until 2am.

This all goes down this First Friday at the Loft.  This marks the second month that both the bar and sushi bar will be in effect, and from all report, both are considered dope, so do yourself a favor and grab a PBR and a spicy ahi while you’re checking out the art.

The art showcase is free and open to all ages, starting at 4pm.  At 9pm, the unders gotta get booted and only the 21+ can rock out to the dance party after-party.

Props to the Loft, the enterprise, and the always fashionable danceonpartyon.com for putting this together.

Honolulu Art Collective at the Loft – First Friday

Can you believe it’s time for First Friday again?  Man, it just seemed like this month just breezed on by, because I could have sworn I did the July 4th First Friday just a little bit ago.

Anyway, it’s that time again (supposedly) and it’s First Friday, so that means that the Loft will be hosting the Honolulu Art Collective on their monthly display.  And, this month’s lineup looks killer, with MyCryptonauts Aaron Lee, Aaron VB, and Hanasaurus among the many putting pieces up in the spot just above Sunkyu bakery.

Of course, what Enterprise/Loft event would it be without the Dance Party afterwards?  This month’s “Dance Fever” will feature the sounds of Satellite Grey and DJ ESKAE (who will, no doubt, throw out the ass-shakers for the evening).

The Honolulu Art Collective exhibit runs from 4pm-9pm and is free to the public and all ages.  At 9pm, they kick out all the minor and it’s $7 for the Dance Fever Party.  This month looks to be really special, as the Loft’s bar and sushi bar is open for business.

The Loft is located on 115 Hotel Street, right above Sunkyu Bakery.

Create & Destroy at the Loft

With the Final Installation of Trip The Lights on the horizon, the lightsleepers will begin a new event at one of the dopest spots in Chinatown.

the lightsleepers are teaming up with the fine folks of The Enterprise for Create and Destroy. Going down every second Friday, the lightsleepers brand of Hawaii hip-hop will take over the hipster abode of the Loft. Kavet The Catalyst, Bumble Bee, Matt Ratt, Oliver Twist and Observ will rock the DJ Booth at the Loft, combining the chill atmosphere and dance danceability with boom bap.

Create and Destroy will kick off this Friday night. The event starts at 9pm and rolls until 2am. It’s 21+ for now and it’s also BYOB until further notice. $5 gets you in the door, so get your cups of ice and bottles of beverage ready for a dance dance good time.

For more info, check out The Enterprise MySpace -or- The Lightsleepers.
