    TAP Project week

TAP Project kicks off again this week.  The TAP Project initiative is a part of UNICEF’s goal to provide clean, drinkable water to those less fortunate.

How this works is that as a patron at participating restaurants, you would donate a $1 or more for the water that you would receive gratis.  This money will go to the TAP Water fund and help build wells for those who don’t have ready access to clean water.

Participating restaurants in Hawaii include all Big City Diner locations, Duke’s Waikiki, JJ Dolan’s, thirtyninehotel, The Wedding Cafe, Tiki’s Bar and Grill, and may more locations.

This initiative runs from today through March 28th.

To find out more about the TAP Project and the full listing of locations that are participating in this, check out http://tapprojecthawaii.com/index.html

World Water Week – TAP Project Hawaii

    picture-3

This week is World Water Week – a coordinated effort by UNICEF, TAP Project Hawaii and local businesses to raise money to help provide clean drinking water to children around the world.

Access to water is one of the things we definitely take for granted.  We forget that even in this unusual economic climate, we still have things that some people around the world do not have, such as easy access to clean water.  In some places around the world, people travel to get to water, while we can just twist a knob and get water just like that.

TAP Project Hawaii and UNICEF is looking to change that, making sure more people have access to clean water.

So, how can you help? Go and dine in at participatin restaurants and donate money to the cause.  Where are these locations?

    • Big City Diner
    • Coffee Talk
    • D.K. Steak House
    • Dean’s Drive-Inn
    • Downtown@HiSAM
    • Formaggio – Kailua
    • Hiroshi Eurasian Tapas
    • JJ Dolan’s
    • Los Chaparros
    • Kaka’ako Kitchen
    • Kona Brewing Company – Kona
    • Kona Brewing Company – Hawaii Kai
    • Pearl Ultralunge
    • Popeye’s Chicken
    • Sansei
    • thirtyninehotel
    • Vino
    • Wahoo’s Fish Taco
    • The Wedding Cafe
    • The Willows
    • Wine The Experience.

… and many more locations.  You can check out the full list at tapprojecthawaii.com

Also, there’s a few commercials that help explain TAP Project a bit better.

It’s a win-win situation for everyone, and people can get easier access to clean drinking water.
