Spam Jam 2010

Spam Jam 2010 goes down tonight in Waikiki.  Kalakaua Avenue will be closed to car traffic and will be filled with booths, entertainment, and merchandise… all in the name of SPAM.

Some of Hawaii’s top restaurants will be showing off their unique interpretations of SPAM and there will be Hawaiian craft booths and SPAM merchandise booths lining the avenue.  Also, booths will be se up throughout the event to help collect cans of SPAM to donate to the Hawaii Food Bank.

Admission is FREE, though finding where to park might be the more challenging thing.

This all goes down tonight from 4pm-10pm in Waikiki, along Kalakaua Avenue.

7th Annual Waikiki Spam Jam

Ignore the second pic… I’m just using it to prove a point about watching how you tag photos on the interwebs. Yeah.

Anyway, The 7th Annual Spam Jam is this Saturday in Waikiki.  All of Kalakaua Avenue will be shut down for this event, with two entertainment stages set up on the street.  Besides entertainment, there is also food booths featuring Hawaii’s top restaurants serving up Spam in new and unusual ways.  Also look for Spam swag and Hawaiian themed merchandise to be sold at the event as well.  FInally, look for booths run by volunteers that will collect Spam (and other canned goods) for the Hawaii Food Bank.

This all goers down this Saturday at 4pm in Waikiki and will keep going until 10pm. Admission is free and open to the public. For more info, check out the Spam Jam homepage.
