NEW! Limited Edition angry woes x split obsession shirt

    Available NOW.

Check out this dope, new, limited edition angry woebots shirt that you can only find at split obsession.

Cast in light blue, it features the signature panda in full fighting stance, yelling out the PFOM mating call.

Or, at least I’d like to think it’s a mating call.

Anyway, these are available at both the Koko Marina and Ala Moana locations of split obsession. So, go get it before it’s gone.

the lightsleepers, in association with exclusive, Contrast Magazine, and Pocket Full of Monsters, present the return of Peekaboo Monster.  This event will have art from the man himself, along with the opportunity to pick up the limited edition lightsleepers x Peekaboo collabo shirt.

The event goes down this Thursday night at the lighsleepers pop-up shop/exclusive.  The fun begins at 5pm and it’s open to the public.

Bring your blackbooks and some markers, you’re probably gonna need them.

NEW! MyCrptonauts x moedigliani Crypto Paper

The latest edition of Crypto Paper, MyCryptonauts running series of paper toys, is out in the wild.  This edition is provided by moedigliani, who did an awesome job with the design.

You can go get these in a couple different ways: one way is through the MyCryptonauts website, downloading the PDF and printing it out yourself.  The other, and easier, way is to find Lofa out and about and he should have a couple pre-made ones on him.  You can also find the toys at all the dopest retailers in Hawaii, such as exclusive, prototype, and split obsession.

These paper toys are brought to you courtesy of MyCryptonauts, Pocket Full of Monsters, and Moedigliani.

lightsleepers / PFoM BBQ Pot Luck

the lightsleepers and Pocket Full of Monsters crew are throwing a little get together BBQ on the ground of the Hypersquad Dance Studio this Sunday afternoon.  All your favorites will be there, so there’s little excuse not to roll through.

This party is BYOD, so bring a dish and make sure you bring enough for everyone.  Lofa already got the rice and Choni got the Zippy’s Chili, so everyone else gotta bring something different (chicken, anyone?).  And make sure you bring a dish and not just your blackbook.  That would be kinda shady.

Everyone is invited… provided they bring a dish.  This all goes down today at 4pm at Hypersquad in Waipio.  For more info on the event, email Lofa: madlofa@gmail.com

Beat Root After Party (Happy Birthday Christina!)

Thursday’s gonna be a big day.  Not only is it the second qualifier for the Beat Root beat battle series, but if you’re just hanging out in front of Easy Music Center, wondering what to do…

… swing over to exclusive for a special Happy Birthday! party for iKandy and exclusive’s own Christina.  This is gonna be a definite birthday party, with free cake and Red Bull… art displays by CkaweekS and MyCryptonauts, in-store specials (since the store will be open after hours) and music provided by the talented Reyes brothers: DJ Liger and DJ Memoirs.  Word has it Liger will be bringing the downtempo and house for this one, so look out for an outbreak of Ultimate Dance Party.

This birthday party starts right after Beat Root lets out, around 7pm or so.  Also, at the show, you can scoop up the new Jaba One mixtape Poked In The Eye By Love, from Lofa.  Just look for him walking around.

For more info on this event, check out the exclusive website.

atypicalLIVING covers… Daggers, Bolts, & Fur at exclusive

This edition of atypicalLIVING covers… takes a look at the recent Pocket Full of Monsters show at exclusive. The show featured artwork from PFoM members angry woebots, 2H, Phoneticontrol, and Aaron Lee. The art covered every wall in the boutique and even spilled out onto the windows of the shop as well, reminiscent of the lightsleepers skateboard release event at apb.

The event had people flowing in and out of exclusive so much that the air conditioning got overwhelmed. That didn’t damper the spirits of those inside, as it was nice and breezy outside. I definitely enjoyed the set up, as each artist got their own little section to show off their best, from woes and 2H taking over the near wall, Phoenticontrol taking over the shelves and Aaron Lee’s Cryptonauts being hung from the ceiling.

The following flicks are courtesy Contra808 and Kai Media:

Take a look at more of the flicks below the break and a video from the fine folks at Kai Media.
