    Pacquiao vs. Clottey

The only event that comes close to the Super Bowl, as far as eyes glued to a TV in Hawaii, would be any Manny Pacquiao fight.  Tonight’s fight is no exception.

In what was supposed to be the weekend for the Mayweather/Pacquiao superfight, we still get a barnburner in Pacquiao vs. the very dangerous Joshua Clottey.  He’s a top contender for the WBO World Welterweight Title.  The other significance of this fight is that it’s the first major boxing event in the brand new billion dollar Cowboys Stadium.  If the outcome of the fight is a Pacquiao victory, look for fireworks to erupt across Hawaii.

You can only catch this event on Pay Per View… or a website if you look hard enough.

    NEW! Pacquiao shirts at Kicks/HI

In preparation for the big Pay-Per-View title defense against Joshua Clottey, Nike has just released a new set of shirt inspired by Manny Pacquiao.

The PacMan is featured on four new shirts.  One shirt features the PacMan Knows slogan that was popularized during the Miguel Cotto fight and that correspond with the PacMan Nike Trainer 1 that recently came out.  Another features the “Give Us This Day” graphic that ran on Manny’s site during the Oscar De La Hoya fight.  There’s also an old fashioned fight hype poster, touting all of Pacquiao’s accomplishments in the ring. Finally, the MP logo is done up in gold foil, matching up with the gold coloring on most of Pacquiao’s gear.

These shirts will be going quickly, so you want to make sure you snag one.

These are available at the Makaloa Kicks/HI starting today. For more info, check out http://www.kickshawaii.com

    Pacquiao/Hatton TONIGHT

    Diaz Pacquiao Boxing

Tonight, the pride of the Philippines steps into the ring to take on Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton in what’s being claimed as the eliminator match for the mythical “Pound for Pound” title. The winner of this fight will most certainly get the returning Floyd Mayweather, Jr. later on in the year.

Well, no surprise who I’m pulling for. Here’s what I’m wearing today, BTW.

So, GO PACMAN! and Filipinos worldwide. chee!

    Team Pacquiao shirts at Kicks/HI

This Saturday marks one more week until the biggest fight this year (so far).  The Pride of the Philippines, Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao takes on the Pride of England, Ricky ‘The Hitman” Hatton in an epic battle that everyone is looking forward to in Las Vegas.

I’m gonna echo the sentiments of Delve1der and state that Pacquiao might as well be from here with how much the Filipino community has embraced him.  Well, they’ll get a chance to embrace him even more this Saturday with the release of the Team Pacquiao shirt. Available in three colors, the shirt features the Team Pacquiao script on the front, accented with the MP logo and a gigantic bird on the back.  Pretty fresh and hopefully, this isn’t the end of the Pacquiao releases, right Delve?

These come out this Saturday at the Makaloa location ONLY. Makaloa opens at 11am, so get there to get yours.

For more, check out Kicks Hawaii.
