    The Mililani Invitational

Element presents the finale of the ASH 2010 season with The Mililani Invitational. Skaters from all divisions have been battling throughout the year just to make it to this event. Others will have a chance to enter as well, but those with 200+ points in the ASH series will be allowed to register first.

This looks to be a fun event for the skaters in the community, so check it out and support your local skateboarders.

This all goes down this Saturday at the Mililani Skatepark. Registration starts at 9:30, event starts at 10.

    Make It Count – Element x T&C

This is probably one of the biggest skate contests you’ll probably see this year. A star-studded lineup, the best skaters in Hawaii, and a chance to compete for an ELEMENT sponsorship deal? You better have a good excuse not to be there.

So, this contest is part of Element’s International Contest Series.  The contest will feature two divisions (13 and under / 14 and up/sponsored) and an all-star lineup of judges (Valelly, MUSKA, Hartsel, Stanton, Tim Tim, just to name a few).

This contest goes down this Saturday at A’ala Park in Chinatown.  The entry fee for contestants is ONE caned good, which will be donated to the Food Bank.  It’s free and open to the public to watch.  The event starts at 1pm, with registration starting at Noon.

    NEW! Fitted Hawaii “Kaholo”

After months and months of speculation and teasers, the cat is finally out of the bag…

Fitted Hawaii has teamed up with Element to produce the first ever Fitted Hawaii shoe.

Named “Kaholo,” which means move fast or progress rapidly, the shoe is based off of Element team rider Darrell Stanton’s second pro model.  The big visual points on the shoe include the sublimated canvas upper featuring vintage Hawaiian pin-up girls, the embossed leather heel, and the white vulcanized sole.  The shoe also comes with three sets of laces: yellow trilocks, white, and black.  All three lace sets feature Fitted Hawaii tips.

This one releases THIS SATURDAY, December 19th.  Be prepared to battle it out, because there’s only 60 pairs available, so definitely move or get swept away.

For more info on this one, check out http://www.fittedhawaii.com

Element presents A’ala Park Skate Contest

aalaparkcontestflyer_webElement, in association with the Association of Skateboarders in Hawaii and a slew of other sponsors, present another big contest at the World Famous A’ala Park Skatepark.

The Park has become synonymous with quality skateboarding and the proving grounds for many of Hawaii’s finest.  This is just another way to push the limits and test the skill of Hawaii’s skateboarding community.  You can only get better by pushing yourself to be better.

So, I couldn’t find a start time for the event, so you can conclude that this will be an all day thing (as all skate events at A’ala tend to be) so get there early for registration, product tosses, free food, and of course, quality skateboarding.

To register for the event, check out the ASH website.

    Element x Poetree board/bag/shirt collabo

(photos courtesy The Skate Nazi Manifesto)

POETREE founder and original Hawaii shredder Jef Hartsel has just been selected to be a part of Element Skateboarding’s Power to the Planet Advocacy Movement. While this in itself is quite an accomplishment and honor, this isn’t the only thing that Jef and Element are collaborating on.

Jef’s company, POETREE, has also taken this collaboration seriously, creating a package featuring a shirt, a messenger bag and A SKATE DECK.  The deck is nothing like what’s out there right now.  Both the shape and the graphic hearken back to Jef’s original World Industries deck. The shirt features the same graphic from the deck and the bag has both the Element and POETREE logos on them. Definitely a hot collabo.

Coming soon to a skate shop near you.
