    FLARE Dance Battle this Saturday

    94-BLOCK stand UP!

This Saturday, the Pineapple Clan, BayVI, the lightsleepers, and the Lost Cause present FLARE, a dance battle in the heart of Waikele. This 3 vs. 3 crew battle will bring the dopest style out from the west side versus all comers.  This one looks to be history in the making. And, with chief lightsleeper Kavet the Catalyst running DJ and MC duties, this should be quite the event.

This all goes down this Saturday at Hope Chapel West Oahu in Waikele. Doors open at 11am, Admission is $3.

    NEW! BayVI Apparel Collection updates

The BayVI homies are back wiht a new collection of gear for the Summertime. They’ve revamped all their designs to have a more Hawaii slant, along with their constant themes of environmental conservation and resource reducing.

This season, they’ve also brought out the long awaited surf shorts along with the new shirts. Two designs of shorts, in fact, join the already awesome shirt & accessory lines for this season.

I’m also feeling the line of hats that are coming out as well.

To take a look at them, check out the whole lineup at the BayVI site.

BTW, check out the site now for a special SURPRISE PACK. Not gonna tell you what it is, just gotta click the link to find out.

    BayVI/Local Motion present Paparazzi

The hardest thing for an amateur to do is to get noticed, especially in surfing.  Well, BayVI and Local Motion are here to help level the playing field.  They’ll be holding a special event called Paparazzi, in which BayVI, Heavywater Magazine, Local Motion and Surf News Network will come together and hook up the ams with the ultimate in exposure: their very own, fully customizable photoshoot.

Everyone will receive their very own poster of their best action shot.  Last year, the crew caught someone’s first barrel.  Everyone will also receive a special, limited-edition BayVI Paparazzi shirt.  The top shot gets featured in a two-page spread for Local Motion in the next Heavywater Magazine.  The best and most creative shots will be combined and used for a BayVI ad.

This all goes down this Saturday at Kaiser Bowls in Honolulu.  Seriously, what better than an actual photo shoot and riding the waves of Kaiser Bowls with only 5 other guys in the water in the same day?

How does one get involved with this?  Well, there’s only 48 positions available, and interested riders should be honest and say they’ll be there.  The signups are available at all Local Motion locations.

    NEW! BayVI Organic Women’s line

BayVI has just dropped a new set of shirts for women at their fine stockists.  The special thing about these shirts are that they are fully organic, using earth-friendly inks, dyes and cotton for every part of the shirt.  The shirts are also using a dope shirt cut, cutting down on sleeves and adding length to the bottom, which has always been a look I dug.

Check out the rest of the line below the break.
