Shop*a*lea Returns

Ala Moana Center’s biggest shopping event returns for another year of epic specials and events.

last year’s Shop*a*le’a marked the opening of the Nordstrom wing and all the stores therein.  This year, they’r ehaving a gigantic event on Thursday night celebrating the one-year anniversary of that wing, including entertainment, cocktails, pupus & desserts from Hale ‘Aina Award 0winning chefs.  There’s also gonna be giveaways from some of the 30+ stores in the Nordstrom Wing.  That event goes down on Thursday night,s tarting at 6pm.  The only way to get a ticket to this event is to spend $100 or more at participating Nordstrom Wing shops.

Also, there’s tons of other events going on, including lululemon athletica hosting free Yoga classes at Centerstage.  That sounds interesting.

BODIES the exhibition.

Yeah, this is the controversial exhibition that people have been talking about.

For a limited engagement, the Bodies exhibit will be on display at Ala Moana Center.  Now, the thing that makes this interesting is that these are real people’s bodies, skinned and posed to show the human body in motion.  It’s eerie and weird and intriguing at the same time.

Check it out and be amazed that, at one time, these were real people.
