    “Exit Through The Gift Shop” HAWAII PREMIERE 

    Yes, THAT Film.

    The critically acclaimed Banksy documentary “Exit Through The Gift Shop” will be making it’s Hawaii premiere this Friday night at the Doris Duke Theatre for Friends of Film Friday.

    If you know about this movie, then you KNOW about this movie. The first street art disaster movie, this one is described by Banksy himself as “the story of how one man set out to film the unfilmable. And failed.”  The movie features appearances from Shepard Fairey, Invader, and others.

    The movie premiere goes down this Friday night at the Doris Duke Theatre, starting at 6pm. There’s only ONE showing (730pm) so make sure you get your tickets.

    Hey! Guess what we’re sponsoring?

    808Orbit.com, the lightsleepers, and (this website that you’re reading right now) atypicalLIVING are holding a special toy trading party this Saturday at Fresh Cafe. So, after you’ve made your first of many rounds through the crates at Beatroot Bodega, check out the trading party going down nearby. bring down the extras that you’ve scooped up from the past toy releases and bring them down get that missing piece from another collector. Also, some of Hawaii’s top artists will be throwing down on munnys and blackbooks, so bring an extra Sharpie. Pancho Abalos, RZone, Rival, the Starfish Guy, Daves Action, Remi Mead, Kres1, Ohana, and some other peoples that will be around will take part in the inking.

    You never know, LOFA might bless the blackbook… but you know he never does. But, it’s worth a shot asking.

    The trading party goes down this Saturday at the Fresh Cafe Warehouse on Queen St. Event starts at 10am, so be there early to find a good spot to set up.
