NEW! music from Blue Scholars; Bambu and Prolific Unknowns

    This slideshow requires JavaScript.

With the Summer hitting it’s stride, one thing that has gotten me through some of the Dog Days is some dope music from my favorite peoples.

First up is this dope track from Native Guns’ own Bambu, chopping it up with Mox and K-Luv of Prolific Unknowns.  They throw their own spin on “Slow Down” and make it hella dope.

Next is the always awesome Blue Scholars, showing some of the humor that makes their shows incredibly entertaining. They take on one of the 90s most iconic Summertime songs: Dove Shack’s “Summertime in the LBC.” Of course, being from the Pacific Northwest makes for some interesting Summertime commentary. Also, the fact that they hit ALL parts of the song (including the females and the breakdowns) is quite impressive.

Check out the Bambu/Prolific Unknowns track at the in4mation site.

Check out “Summertime in the SEA” on the Blue Scholars site.

    NEW! Fitted Hawaii “Surf Pack”

The Fitted Hawaii crew is taking a little break this week from the hustle and bustle of designing and actually turned things over to three members of their surf team to design the ultra-limited edition Kamehameha New Eras this week.

Ezekiel Lau, Keanu Asing, and Nelson Ahina III are three up and coming surfers, each bringing their own style and vibe to the water. They are also three members of the Fitted Hawaii surf team. They each designed a New Era reflecting their own personal influences.

Ezekiel went with the traditional Kamehameha Schools blue and white for his hat, Ewa Beach’s own Keanu Asing rocks out on black/red with his design, and Nelson Ahina III’s goes HARD on the camouflage crown and yellow bill design.

All three are hot fire and will definitely spark a conversation. Also, these three are also competing for a special prize: the first hat of the three that sells out will qualify the team member that designed it to create a custom matching shirt. A very sick prize for three very sick designs.

Alongside of the three New Eras, there’s also a set of six basic tank tops that are certain to match something, if not EVERYTHING in your wardrobe this Summer. Yellow/green, black/yellow, red/black, grey/blue, blue/white, black/red. Something is bound to match up to this. Plus, when you’re at the beach, you don’t want to think too hard on the clothing choice. Grab and go.

These all drop this Saturday at the Kona St. headquarters. Make sure you get yours, as the hats are limited to 30 pieces per design. For more info, check out the Fitted Hawaii website.

NEW! Fitted Hawaii KU’IKAHI x BLACK UH

The Fitted Hawaii Ohana is back with another dope Saturday release for everyone. This release has tons of historical importance, as this marks the 200 year anniversary of the Hawaiian Islands being united under one leader: Kamehameha the Great.

His vision to united the eight major islands became a reality in 1810, as he was finally able to come to an agreement to become the ruler of Kauai, thus bringing all eight islands under his rule.

To mark this momentous occasion, the Fiited Ohana is releasing this special hat and shirt combo. The shirt features some tribal markings on the back and a circle logo with the Kamehameha icon in a red circle with the words “TWO HUNDRED YEARS STRONG – HAWAII NEI” around the icon.

The hat represents the loss of power of the Hawaiian people during the overthrow, as it’s a blacked out UH Warriors hat. All black, all business.

This set releases this Saturday morning at 11am at the Kona St. headquarters. For more info, check out the Fitted Hawaii website
