Purveyors of the Good Life tee

Aloha Army is releasing this new shirt design based on the premise that being always on vacation is a lifelong goal.

This shirt takes a design cue from the in4mation/Aloha Army Summer lookbook from a few months ago.

The shirts feature the phrase “Always on Vacation” in a postcard style print. The fill on each letter is inset with wahines, proving once again that Hawaii is home to the most beautiful women on the world.

This shirt is available ONLY at Aloha Army (226 Lewers Street in Waikiki) or online at the Aloha Army store.

    Kallusive x Prototype

Designed under the premise that the voice of the youth today will erupt & explode like a volcanop, the Kallusive x Prototype collabo shirt will be breaking all sorts of molds.

The Prototype logo stands front and center on this white tee. The signature Kallusive design aesthetic shows through with the meaningful prose on the back hit. To shout out Hawaii’s deep cultural heritage, the bottom third of the design features traditional Japanese temples.

Certainly a dope shirt that is designed to look good and speak a strong message.

This is available now at Prototype in Pearlridge.

NEW! Perfect Median x The “This Morning” EP

Even though they may be leaving the island, they’re not going down quietly.

knowjuander and Grip-H have just dropped a new 5-track EP full of dope music to keep your head nodding long into the last weeks of Summer.

This EP is broken down into two sides. Side A is “older” stuff; older in quotations because they haven’t been recording beats for too long. Side B is newer stuff and it includes a 9th Wonder track as the EPs finale.

Best of all, the EP is free. Can’t beat that.

Check out the new release at the Cosmic Souls Collective site.

    Perfect Median farewell show

Yes, the headline is correct. After blessing Hawaii with almost 5 years of amazing performances and vibe creating music, Grip-H and know:juander will be performing for the last time in the state of Hawaii.

But, this is not a sad farewell, as they will be going out with a bang this Friday night at a very special edition of Hip-Hop at the Trops. Along with PM, there will be performances by The Audible Lab Rats, Rhyme The Old Man and Pro (of Pro n Product). DJs Cozy, Un, Revise, and Careless1 will be holding down the rest of the musical duties.

The show is this Friday at Tropics Cafe. 18+ and no cover.

    For more info, call 808-372-2301

On a side note, we here at atypicalLIVING have been advocates for The Perfect Median since we met these two dudes at the first genuineHI “On the 1” event. They’ve been supporters since the (near) beginning and we will continue to support both Grip-H and know:juander in their future endeavors outside Hawaii. They blessed Hawaii with amazing performances and held their own night after night, performance after performance.

If you’ve never gotten a chance to check these guys out live, I highly suggest hitting up Tropics Cafe this Friday night. After the performance, you’ll understand how big of a loss this is for the Hawaii musical community. Big UPS to the Perfect Median and big UPS to DJ Bone for throwing these positive events for the scene.
