    The Cutlery “Economic Hibernation” SALE

For the next couple of days, The Cutlery will be holding a special “Economic Hibernation” sale to clear out some stock for the Summer.

But, you might be asking, what is an ‘Economic Hibernation?” Well, starting June 3, 2009, The Cutlery will close their brick and mortar store on Mamo St.

But, unlike some companies, they’re not gone for good. In fact, the Mamo St. upstarts will be in the hideout, doing work around the world with their other accounts in Japan and LA.

In the meantime, they’ll be collecting ideas and patterns for their magnificent return in the Spring of 2010.

In the meantime, they’ll be offering a core group of products on their website. So, The Cutlery will still be looking sharp, even without a physical presence.

So, as far as the sale, the details are 30-60% off items and only available in store on Mamo St.  So, make your way to Hilo to go get yours.

So, be prepared, as the Mamo St. upstarts will be back soon enough.

    Wish You Were Here

Available starting today at both in4mation (Ward Warehouse) and Aloha Army (Waikiki), this shirt is kinda like in4mation’s shout out to the rest of the world from Hawaii.

Think of it as a postcard you can wear and subsequently tell people about your desire for their presence to be nearby.

This drops today (June 1) so go get the shirt while you still can.

Amy Wagner Solo Show at Prototype

Check out Prototype this Friday night as the groundUP Pirates and Prototype celebrate the work of the uber-talented Amy Wagner.

Tattoo artist, photographer & painter, she’s a woman of multiple talents.  All those talents will be on display in a special solo exhibit that will encompass the walls of Prototype.

If that piece behind her in the flyer looks familiar, it’s because Amy was part of last year’s Roses & Revolvers art show at Prolifik.

The show is this Friday night, June 5th, from 5pm-9pm at Prototype in the Uptown Wing of Pearlridge Mall.  It’s FREE and open to all ages, so come through & have your creativity inspired.

For more info, check out the groundUP Movement.
