    NEW! Fitted Hawaii “Foundation” shirt

Another Tuesday, another dope Fitted Hawaii release.

This one is subtle, but tells a whole story just with it’s imagery. This black shirt with clear gel logo features a familiar sight to those who have grown up in the islands.

Titled “Foundation,” this shirt features an angular design reminiscent of the old plantation home foundations from the early part of the 20th Century.

Used to stabilize the home, the design of the homestead foundation also provided a crawl space and extra storage for the families (yes, more than one in a household back then). The message here is to stay grounded and remember the roots.

The back of the shirt has the Fitted crown in clear gel, with a wood shingle pattern, which I’m assuming represents the roof.

This shirt can only be found at Fitted headquarters on Kona Street.

    Taking a Little Break

Gonna take a little break today after the hectic BUTTON MASHERS weekend.

I’d like to personally thank each and every one of you that stopped by through the doors. Your video game antics helped raise a lot of money for the Youth Camp and I’m extremely grateful for that.

Be on the lookout, as me and @DJ_enJAY got something planned for September.

Yes, never sleeping. It’s the way I was taught.

    in4mation x G-Shock Salmon edition

gshock_salmon_finalAfter successfully releasing both a purple and a Tiffany blue edition, the in4mants are back with Casio for another collabo G-Shock.

This version differs from the rest as the Salmon color really sets off the piece. Also, the backlight has a special surprise: the script “aloha” that was found on one of their New Eras from a couple seasons ago.

This one is definitely a keeper and will sell out quickly.

This one will be available in store starting this Saturday. Phone/online orders start on Monday to give the locals first crack at the watch.

This limited edition piece can only be found at the in4mation shop at Ward and Aloha Army in Waikiki. For more, check out the in4mants online.

NEW! Kicks/HI 3 Feet High release

This Saturday marks the release of the highly anticipated 3 Feet High series from VANS. This collection focuses on the iconic silhouette of the Half Cab & places the shoe in the capable hands of three of the biggest boutiques in streetwear today: Dave’s Quality Meats (NYC), HUF (SF/LA) & Kicks/HI.

The set has been making waves in the streets & this Saturday the hype becomes reality. Every one of these kicks are winners, but I’m especially proud of the home grown product, as the Kicks/HI crew brought the same aesthetic that they used for the Reebok Reverse Jams collabo to this Half Cab. All black mesh upper meets with either black or Kicks/HI orange laces. The traditional orange eyelet makes a return & the Kicks/HI stamp replacing the Vans stamp in the back.

Overall, a very fine shoe to go along with your dope wardrobe for the Summer.

Speaking of Summer, they are also releasing a collabo shirt too.

This shirt also accompanies the releases.  This will be available for purchase separately or FREE with purchase if you happen to be one of the lucky ones to purchase any one of the shoes on the Kicks/HI Online Shop.

Warning: there is about 30 of each style that will be released to the online store.

To get a piece of the online sale, make sure you hit up the online store anytime between Friday Midnight (Hawaii Time) to Sunday Midnight (Hawaii Time) or while supplies last.

This is another huge release that the Kicks/HI guys are pulling off. Big UPS to Ian, Eddie, Delve, Yuki & the crew.

    For more, check out Kicks/HI.

    The Button Mashers

    buttonmashers_halfpage

Really debated about writing up this article, but, I’ll give it a shot.

atypicalLIVING Creative Partners, in association with Grace Bible Church Pearlside’s Youth Ministries and OlaNui!, present the first big art show of the Summer 2009.

“The Button Mashers” is a mixed media show, fusing together art of all sorts in a one-of-a-kind, video-game themed setting.  The Ward Warehouses provide the backdrop for an exploration of work from new and emerging artists on the scene, many of whom will be displaying for the first time.

Also, this show has a video game element, as there will be live, interactive video-game displays (that means there will be video games you can play) and a Street Fighter IV (PS3) tournament.

The battle element doesn’t stop there, as there will also be a B-Boy Battle (hosted by GoodGuyJames and DJ enJAY), a musicians battle, and a unique live painting element that must be seen to be understood, featuring Shaun Castro, Philippe Quinal, Janel Natividad & RZone.

Finally, there will be live performances, vendor booths, a food booth, and a whole bunch more. Including a DJ Liger Dance Party.

Did I mention the video games yet?

This all goes down this SATURDAY NIGHT from 5-11PM at OlaNui! on 760 Halekauwila Street, adjacent to Logos Books, near Ward Center.  Admission is $5 and all proceeds go to benefit the GBC Summer Youth Camp.

This will be a big event, so please roll through and show your support for the kids.

Big UPS to all the sponsors of “The Button Mashers”: Grace Bible Church Pearlside, OlaNui!, Redefine, Prolifik, lightsleepers, First Lady The Movement & Prototype.

NEW! Fitted “Half & Half” Shirt

Another Tuesday, another dope Fitted Hawaii drop.

This week’s offering is super simple, but it goes hard, nonetheless.

The shirt’s concept is simple: half man/half amazing. No, this isn’t talking about Vince Carter, who’s been mostly half man, half disappointment.

    But, I digress.

The shirt goes hard with the NY Mets colorway. This is in reference to the NaS classic “Ain’t Hard To Tell.” If you can’t catch the reference, get familiar.

This will be available starting today at Fitted’s Kona Street headquarters.
