    NEW! in4mation Shorts Set

Seriously, can in4 stop releasing product back to back so I can keep you guys updated on this stuff?

OK, to recap quickly, these are new in4mation shorts that will come in handy once the weather starts to get a bit warmer.  Much like it has been the past couple of days.

The shorts come in three different textures: railroad denim, black & the all-purpose khaki.  Each of them have those tiny in4mation details that make a simple product DOPE.

These are available now from both in4mation Ward Warehouse & Aloha Army in Waikiki.

    atypicalLIVING covers… Journey

So, the Journey concert was last night at the Blaisdell Arena.  Of course, the big reason this show was a late addition and the 1st of 3 planned Oahu shows is the fact that the new lead singer of Journey, Arnel Pineda, was discovered in the Philippines and via YouTube by founding member Neal Schon.  With a sizable Filipino contingency, including everyone rolling with the atypicalLIVING crew, the turnout and response for the show was intense.

Of course, everyone was there for Arnel and for the classic Journey.  Crowd response was a bit tepid during the newer “Revelations” stuff, with the notable exception of “After All These Years,” which turned my section into the “let’s get to gropin’!” section REAL FAST.

But, deifnitely the highlights of the night were the classics.  Unfortunately, the video I recorded for this was pretty far away, so you guys are gonna ake due with the on the spot recording I did via Tumblr: LIGHTS and WHEEL IN THE SKY

I also took some flicks for the atypicalFLICKR which you can find HERE.

Overall, a fun night, deifnitely worth the money to go.  Now, if you’re lucky enough to be going to the shows tonight or on Saturday, you’ll be having tons of fun.  Serious.

Big UPS to Uncle Tom moffatt for throwing this all together.

Art After Dark: 15 Seconds of Fame

This month’s ARTafterDARK will be focusing on the awesomeness of Andy Warhol and his famous claim that everyone has 15 minutes of fame.

Well, the fine folks at the Honolulu Academy of Art have taken that to heart and will be taking that claim as their theme with “15 Seconds of Fame.”

Aside from all the displays, Apple will be setting up a computer lab in the Kinau Courtyard, helping people create their own pop art masterpieces that they will email out afterwards.

Music will be provided by Zachary Shimizu playing alternative covers and The Nocturnal Sound Krew playing one-hit wonders from throughoout the decades.

As an homage to Warhol’s iconic Campbell Soup can painting, bring a Campbell Tomato Soup can or other canned food to ARTafterDARK and it will get donated to the Institute for Human Services.

This all goes down this Friday night at the Honolulu Academy of Arts at 900 South Beretania St.  For more info, check out Honolulu Academy’s website.

    NEW! Fitted Hawaii “Generations” pack

The Fitted Ohana comes through once agian, asserting themselves as Hawaii’s all purpose streetwear stop.

This Saturday will be no different, as they are poised to release the “Generations” pack.  This pack consists of a New Era and a shirt, both ripe with underying meaning.

The combo pack is essentially a shout out to the elders and those who paved the way for us, doling out advice and guiding us through our progression from children to adults.

The shirt is a black pocket tee with a Hawaiian quilt-like pattern found on the pocket.  In purple, teal, and gray lettering on the back, there’s the Hawaiian proverb “Mai Pale I Ke A ‘O A Ka Makua” which translates to “Do Not Set Aside The Teaching Of Your Elders.”

The hat features the Hawaiian quilt pattern all over the top, with stitching in white, teal, and purple.  There is also a teal underbill and purple saitn lining.  The sweatband on the inside features the same Hawaiian proverb as the shirt.

These will go quickly, so make sure you are in line this Saturday morning for these pieces.  The “Generations” pack is set to drop this Saturday at 11am at Fitted Hawaii.

The same rules apply here as they always do: first come, first served; if you’re gonna camp out/come early, please park at Ala Moana and walk across the street.
