NEW! Fitted Hawaii “White Wash” set

    haringpetroblog

    haringpetrohatblog

Another Saturday, another Fitted Hawaii release.

This one is a bit special, as it’s a special shout out to legendary street artist Keith Haring.  The images blend the Keith Haring aesthetic with the feel of Old Hawaiian petroglyphs.  The images on the white shirt tell the story of the circle of life.  The images are draped in teal, purple, white, grey, and black, as is the Fitted crown located on the back.

Also dropping with the shirt is a new Kamehameha New Era called “White Wash.”  The hat is made up of washed grey cotton, teal blue logos and detailing, teal silk lining, and the “Tools of the Trade” print on the interior.  Much like previous big releases, these will drop at 11am and there’s gonna be less than 150 tomorrow, so if you want a piece, go get some.

As always: first come, first served; phone orders taken after 12pm.

Also, please KOKUA and if you’re gonna show up before 11am, then please park across the street at Ala Moana and walk over.

For more info, check out Fitted Hawaii.

    De La Hoya / Pacquiao

    event_delahoyapac

So, I went with this graphic instead of the De La Hoya fishnet photos.  I think I made the right choice.

So, tonight marks the biggest event ever (this week) for Filipino people around the world.  The pride of the PI, “The Pac Man” Manny Pacquiao, steps into the ring and into destiny as he takes on the legendary Oscar De La Hoya in what can only be labeled as a dream amtch-up that only could have occurred on video game screens.

There’s a lot to prove in this fight: De La Hoya wants to prove that he still has the big fight in him. Pacquiao wants to prove that he’s ready to take the crown of best pound for pound fighter on the planet.

We are a bit prejudice here at atypicalLIVING HQ, so we won’t make any predictions on who’s gonna win, though you can probably guess who we want to win.

Either way, it’s gonna be an amazing fight, no doubt.  So, swing by a sports bar, someone’s house, or bite the bullet and order it for yourself.  Either way, just find a way to watch this epic battle between two iconic characters of the sweet science.

    Honolulu City Lights Opens

    tree

Each year, the city shuts down for the lighting of Honolulu City Lights, but with the De La Hoya/Pacquiao fight and UH vs. Cincinnati at the Stadium going on at roughly the same time, I’m gonna wonder who’s gonna be left in the city?

The City Lights celebration starts at 4pm, with the opening of the displays, the food booths, and the Keiki rides.  At 5pm, the Kawaiaha’o Church Choir will perform.

At 6pm, Amy Hanaiali’i will perform during the tree lighting ceremony.  Followed shortly after by the electric light parade down King Street, from Aala Park to Honolulu Hale.

At 6:30pm, Honolulu Hale opens up to the Christmas trees, wreaths displays and gingerbread houses.

To wrap up the night, John Cruz, Jake Shimabukuro, Karen Keawehawai`i, Kristian Lei and J Boog & Laga Savea will wrap up the night with a holiday concert.

Also available at the opening is the chance to purchase commemorative collectible ornaments and this year’s t-shirts.  The mens/kids shirts feature the Santa Shaka on green.  New this year is a ladies only white scoop neck shirt featuring a sparkly poinsettia.

This event is at Honolulu Hale.  It’s free and open to the public.  So, bring the fam bam by and check out the amazing artistry of Hawaii’s Holiday artisans.
