NEW! Fitted Hawaii “Economics” shirt and New Eras

Another Tuesday, another Fitted Hawaii drop.

This week, they introduce a new shirt entitled “Economics.” The title comes from the imagery found on the graphic of the shirt, which features the airport and many of the buildings/businesses that keep the wheels of economy turning in Hawaii.  The back features the Fitted crown in teal, purple, and black.

Along with the shirt, there’s two New Eras dropping as well. The first is a Kansas City Royals joint in all brown with blue eyelets, scarlet button and a blue and white logo.

The second is a tonal (duck cotton tonal) UH piece in all blue. Definitely official for the upcoming WAC season.

As always, the same rules apply: first come, first served; phone orders taken after 12pm.

For more info, check out Fitted Hawaii.

angry woebots print release and store signing at split obsession

angry woebots teams up with split obsession for a special print release and store signing event.

The last time woes was up in Hawaii Kai’s favorite toy shop, the scene was incredible and the turn out was fantastic.  It should be equally as crazy, as there’s only 100 limited sign and numbered prints available.

This event goes down this Saturday night, starting at 6pm, at split obsession’s Koko Marina location.  This event is open to the public, but definitely get there early, as parking and avilability of the print might be limited.

For more info, check out the split obsession website or woes’ own Army of Snipers.

    Happy Halloween from Flying Coffin

Flying Coffin has had this tradition where they release a special edition tee to celebrate Halloween.  The shirt has always released on the Flying Coffin website and, if prior releases hold true, you’ll have to camp out for the shirt, much like concert tickets and Jordan online releases.

This year, they’ll open up the Halloween product to all their stockists, including goods (WA), 5 & a dime (SD), kicks/hi (HI), union (NY), beantic (CA), major (DC), boundless (NY), rco (CA), speakeasy (CO), ftc sac (CA), hecklewood (OR), krudmart (NY), saint alfred (IL), the denver shop (CO), fitted (HI), citizen (MI), hospitality (VA), monkey bizz (sweden).

The hat is deinfitely ill, as it’s got that jack-o-lantern feel to it with a very SICK lining: pumpkin guts.

The hat will be available to both the website and the stockists, but the shirt is an online exclusive.

To go get it, hit up the Flying Coffin website.

    in4mation Fall 2008 release

The in4mants are celebrating the return of Fall weather with the return of Fall fashion.  Today marks the debut of in4mation’s highly anticipated Fall 2008 line.

Easily the most diverse line of clothing coming out of Hawaii, the in4mants take it up another notch with Fall 2008.  The collection of full of unique pieces, jackets, beanies, that baseball shirt, and the second run of the AYA clouds New Era and shirt.  Definitely official.

I do have to congratulate the in4mants for a job well done on this season’s line of gear.  Looking forward to seeing these in person.

And you can see them in person as well.  This Saturday at both the Ward Warehouse location and at Aloha Army on Lewers Street, just a short dash away from that new Apple Store on Kalakaua Avenue that’s opening up at 10am.  So, after you’ve spent the day basking in the sun and buying that new iPod Touch, check out the Fall 2008 in4mation line and buy yourself a hoodie or a shirt that matches that touchscreen iPod perfectly.

NEW! Fitted Hawaii UH “Forward Progress” shirt and hat combo

OH EM GEE.  This is just taking it over the top.

You thought FItted drops were insane before… this one EASILY takes the cake.  The Fitted Crew comes SUPER correct with this one.  Paying homage to the might UH Warrior Football team, this combo will definitely make you want to pull the credit card out of the wallet and contribute to the state’s economy.

Enough talk, let’s get into some details…

First, the shirt… crispy white tee featuring the Double F logo, made to pay homage to the UH logo.  On the bottom left of the shirt come the Fitted crown, crest and the letters ASD (Aloha Served Daily).  The back is done up jersey style, with Fitted across the back and the #1.  Again, all done up just like the UH uniforms.

The hat… is something else.  First off, it bases it’s design on the UH Warrior Football helmets, which are a piece of work by themselves.  The center features the tribal triangle print found on the helmet and it separates the two sides of the hat.  The left side features the same Double F logo as the shirt.  The right side features the new Fitted crest logo (crown and sabers), done up to look like the good play stickers.  If you’ve watched enough college football, you all know who the dopest players on the team were based on the amount of good play stickers affixed to the side of their helmets.  UH does it, Ohio State does it as well, and now, you can be the gamechanger with this combo as well.

Now, I’m not telling you to stand in line for this one, but I will say that this is one of the dopest releases that Fitted has done in the past couple of months, so this one is not to be slept on.

As always, the same rules apply: first come, first served; phone orders (if there’s any left) will be taken after 12pm.

Fitted opens promptly at 11am, but you probably want to make your way down there early.  Good luck.

For more, check out Fitted Hawaii.

Nowhere But Up: The Art of Ohana and Rival’e

Prototype presents the artwork of two of Hawaii’s most talented artists: Ohana and Rival’e.

They have been making a name for themselves in the scene for years, so now is an awesome time for them to finally branch out and have a dual show.  They will have pieces up and scattered throughout Prototype, with a number of them being available for purchase.

The show opening is this Saturday night, starting at 630pm, at Prototype in Pearlridge, across from Pricebusters.  The show will be up for a while, but that’s not enough of a reason not to miss out opening night.

For more info, check out the Inspire Creativity site.

    Pure ExpreScion 4 this Saturday

Funky4Corners and Scion Hawaii present “Pure ExpreScion” a free b-boy jam/car show going down on the ground of Scion Hawaii in Mapunapuna. Many of you might remember this as the Movement battle from last year.  well, this year, it’s a new name and it’s a whole new game, with tons of contests going down.

    What kind of contests, you ask?  Well, there’s a $500 Emcee Battle, a $200 Writers Battle, a $200 Beat battle, a $500 B-Boy crew battle, a $200 “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” battle (which I’m assuming means b-boy/b-girl battle), and a $100 1-on-1 b-boy battle.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s also a car show going down, Live DJs, and a whole bunch more.  Movement was one of the more underrated events last year, so I’m glad to see they’re trying to do it again this year.

This event is free, open to the public, and all ages.  The fun starts at 4pm and keeps going until 9pm at  Scion Hawaii in Mapunapuna.  More information and Battle registration can be found at PureExpreScion.com
