    The Cutlery “Aloha Print” shirt

The Cutlery, your favorite spot out in Hilo, is back with another dope design for the heads of Hawai’i Nei.

This shirt benefits from a little backstory from The Cutlery’s sharpest knife, Kuhao. Being the son of a famous Aloha shirt maker, he was always surrounded by aloha print. This led to a revolt of sorts and not wearing aloha print to major events and parties. His father would always get on his case to wear aloha print.

Well, now that The Cutlery is in the business of streetwear… he’s wearing aloha print now.

Completely flipped, in that streetwear sense, of course. The text states that Aloha Print is inside and reflects what’s in the person. So, instead of a witty retort and play on words, this is a shout out to every alohawear designer out there. From one generation to the other.

This shirt is gonna drop this (aloha) Friday at the Cutlery. Numbers are always limited, so if you want one, I suggest making it down to The Cutlery or hitting them up by phone (808.934.7500) or on their site at upinthecutlery.com

Art Chemist “Choose Def” shirt / Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser

Art Chemist has just dropped a new shirt with a very special cause attached to it.

The $15 Special package includes everything you see in the flick above:

    1. Limited Edition Choose Def shirt (only 36 made… ever!)
    2. A hand drawn piece of art. Signed, sealed and specially made by Art Chemist
    3. A pack of Promo Stickers (selection may vary)
    4. Tracked U.S. shipping
    5. A donation to fight Cystic Fibrosis

This package was made as a response to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation walks occurring throughout the country in the month of May. Throughout the month, CCF will be holding these walks to raise money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis, an inherited chronic disease that messes with the lungs and digestive system. This disease affects over 30,000 kids and adults in the U.S.

Instead of making a package and jacking up the price, Art Chemist has gone and made the package as affordable as possible, with a $1 going to help the cause. If things go well, the $1 will get matched with another one… and so forth.

The shirt itself is a play on the 80s “Choose Life” shirts. (as a cross-reference, check out the infamous WHAM! video here.) Sizes range form S-3XL and there’s women’s sizes available as well.

Buy a shirt and rock something dope for the summer, all while helping to fight this terrible disease.

To cop this package, email jerry@artchemist.com and ask for the $15 Choose Def package, by name.

If you would like to donate directly to the cause, Art Chemist has a friend walking in the New York CFF Walk. To donate directly to Monique, click here.
