Fitted Hawaii Lauhala Kamehameha Hat

This Saturday (3.15.08) marks the release of the long anticipated Lauhala version of the Kamehameha Fitted Hawaii Hat.

This one is special, only because Fitted has been teasing this hat for what seems to be years now. Soon, this hat will become reality.

The woven straw on the hat is definitely significant to Hawaii in that the inspiration is Lauhala, a straw weaving technique that spanned from baskets to mats to even shelter for homes.  The Lauhala pattern was chosen because it represented the strength and unity of the people of Hawaii.  The weaving also represents the Melting Pot of people and styles that Hawaii is known for.

In addition to the sick hat, Fitted is also dropping a brown shirt with the Lauhala pattern on the fill.

As always, this set will drop promptly this Saturday and it’s first come, first served. Phone orders will be taken after 12pm Hawaii time.

NSK/Manovich at Skyline

Feeling in the mood for clubbing?  Well, you’re in luck.  The Nocturnal Sound Krew will be showing out this Saturday night at the Sheraton Waikiki for Flash and Matty Boy’s always epic Skyline event.

NSK will be pulling out all the stops for this one, throwing down “The Latest and Greatest Hits Of All Time!”

Also along for the ride this Saturday is Manovich.  She’ll be holding the debut of her latest line, BITE.

It’s gonna be a fun, fashionable, and sexy night, so you definitely gotta come dressed for that.  Skyline goes down every 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month at the top of the Sheraton Waikiki.

Battle Tactics this Friday on Maui

lightsleepers, in4mation, exclusive, prototype, FuManChu, and Chunk and Ape are just some of the proud sponsors of Maui’s biggest hip-hop event of the year “Battle Tactics” at the Kahului Civic Center.

Maui’s dopest and illest will be going at it in this special two-on-two tournament for $500. There’s also a graffiti contest, music from Gomega and DJ Jay-P, and special guests judges for the battle.

Battle Tactics begins this Friday at 4PM with the battles starting at 5PM. $10 gets you in the doors; $7 if you bring along the above flyer. There’s tons of giveaways, so there’s extra incentive to go early.

Be there for Maui’s biggest hip-hop dance throwdown at the Kahului Civic Center.
